Efficiency Philosophy
Decisions made by event organizers directly affect the overall efficiency of competitions.
Strong decision making from an efficiency standpoint can prevent future issues.
Consideration Efficiency-0001:
Event organizers should ensure the time schedule published for competitions is carried out successfully.
-
None.
-
Ensure competitors enter the competition space at the designated time, and doing their part to begin the competition on time.
Ensure competitors exit the competition space in a reasonable amount of time, allowing for a timely reset of the competition space.
-
Create an event timeline that is practical and realistic for the size of the competition you are hosting, and is respectful of the time for all parties.
An appropriate amount of time should be given to clear out a competition space, reset for the next competition, and the entrance of the next round of competitors. NOTE: This is an inherently stressful time for all parties, with the most frequent mistakes in event organizing taking place during a room reset. The less rushed event organizers and judges are in this moment, the more accurate the competition will be.
Time between events should be considered for any competitors participating in back-to-back events.
